10.2.21 ER 2

So many tests. Getting ready for an abdominal CT scan. Had many blood tests and x-rays. She is now hypothermic, was down to 91 degrees. She is on a bair hugger blanket, her fluids are being warmed, and she has giant heatpacks all over her. With all of that so far she is up to nearly 93.

General surgery came in with a catheter and pushed it up through her stoma. Nothing there. The x-rays are too difficult to see what is happening because of her hardware. The CT will hopefully give us more data. The most likely possibilities at this point are a pancreatic infection, a twist in her intestine, or a hole caused by the tip of her j-tube. They are thinking it is probably the infection due to the temp and some of her bloodwork, but need the CT to show us.

We talked with the ICU fellow and will be heading up there at some point either before or after the CT. We don’t know yet if she will need surgery.
