5.27.14 Sleep Studies are fun

At least according to Aimee.
She is having a party while we get her hooked up for the sleep study.

Hoping to get some more info on those night time desat episodes so we can plan a course of action.

5.19.14

She laughed.

She listened to Madonna and Elvis. She danced along with the hospital clowns. She was a demonstration patient for nurses learning EEG procedures. She giggled at the beeping sounds and who knows what else funny things. Only Aimee could have this much fun while in the hospital.

She cried.

Covered with electrodes all over her sensitive skin and scalp, Aimee was miserable, especially when we had to wash the glue out of the sores. Very thankful it was only for a few days.

Although she was on her bipap machine through the nights, she had several desats with oxygen levels staying in the 60% range for several minutes. We are hoping with the test results to figure out if these episodes are seizure related or if we need to get pulmonary involved. As always, she keeps us guessing.

These two tired ladies are hoping to do the guesswork from home for awhile.

5.14.14 Extended EEG

All settled into a special room for an extended EEG. It has been about 3 years since our last one and this is our first extended. Hoping for definite answers on what episodes are seizure related. Please pray with me that we will have several in the next couple days. The only time I've ever prayed for seizures to happen!

5.8.14 Fundraiser

For any who were not able to be a part of Aimee's original fundraiser,
we have reopened the t-shirt sales again until May 15th.

We consider each of you to be a member of Team Aimee Love
and would be blessed if you would consider supporting Aimee
by wearing a shirt in her honor.

We are hoping to reach the minimum of 50 shirts again in that time to cover
upcoming medical expenses and more therapy sessions.
Please share this link. We have 26 more to go!

5.5.14

Ironically, while we have been hanging out here-
-we finally got a return call from our GI doctor to address our concerns. A little late. Um, she is already admitted down the hall. That's okay, because it sounds like GI was going to have us come in anyways. And they are sending Aimee to see the motility specialist as they have exhausted their available options to help her. Looking forward to getting a better bowel regimen and avoiding future blockages.

Today we had handsome (and sleepy) visitors.
We got to use a super stylish shampoo cap.
And even have enjoyed some rays of sunshine.
Oh and a view of the parking lot and helicopter pad, which thankfully has not been used.

I'm feeling really thankful and blessed that we came down before things progressed too far. Aimee is responding to the treatment and the blockages are moving. Hopefully one more night and we'll be ready to go home.

5.4.14

Another Children's Urgent Care to ER to Admit visit on the books. This time for a bowel obstruction. Poor, sweet girl.
