Ed and I met with Palliative care for a good long chat. It was so helpful to have that space for processing. We don’t have more answers necessarily, but I think we are better set up to watch what unfolds and to let Aimee show us with her reactions to the next steps what we should plan.
In that vein, we will be meeting tomorrow morning with the discharge respiratory therapist for an education about trachs. He will bring samples and give us a chance to ask lots of questions about the process. We are not certain that we will be heading to a trach, but hopeful that more information will help us decide.
Also hoping to hear back from the Child Life specialists on what sibling resources are currently available to help with processing illness and hospitalizations.
Hugs and love from us, praying for clarity in the path forward. ♥️
